ATMA CENA CoCare Program

Empowering independent therapists and community practices to provide regulated psychedelic therapy

Although psychedelic-assisted therapy (PaT) is currently unregulated, Alberta’s licensing guidelines suggest that, as PaT gains wider adoption across Canada and certain U.S. states, it will become a regulated industry. This anticipated regulation will necessitate collaboration with interdisciplinary professionals and regulated facilities to effectively deliver PaT.

The majority of therapists and many clinical practices are interested and eager to adopt PaT but do not know where to start or how they may play a role. The mental healthcare space is fragmented and operates for the most part in silos, and this lack of systems create barriers for providing streamlined PaT for both clinics and therapists alike.

The ATMA CENA CoCare Program is designed to support independent therapists in providing psychedelic-assisted therapy without disrupting their current practice. This program offers a comprehensive, turnkey solution that includes access to client services, an interdisciplinary team, and professional clinics. Our goal is to assist therapists and their clients through the psychedelic therapy process seamlessly. Therapists are invited to bring their clients into the program and continue providing therapeutic support, while ATMA CENA handles the logistics and ensures a safe, effective psychedelic therapy experience.

The CoCare Program is supported by the ATMA CENA National Clinic Network, a decentralized network of community clinics that partners with ATMA CENA. This collaboration facilitates the provision of PaT and ensures that local therapists and practitioners have access to professional clinic spaces for delivering these services safely and effectively.
