Confusion and Idols – Packing our fears

May 7 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Why do we overpack? In this session we will explore the reason we tend to take on so much and carry it for so long. We will bring awareness to the root of that suffering (Kleshas) and learn yogic methods to lighten our “pack”.
Western medicine and psychology is but a couple hundreds years old, preceding the rise of western psychology practice were ancient philosophies that provided the means for mental wellness and resilience tools for those seeking it for thousands of years. From the Stoics of ancient Athens to Daoism in the far east to Yoga and Buddhism out of ancient India. The fact that these practices has survived and even thrive to today, still in its original form and still relevant to life and well being thousands of years later, speaks to effectiveness and truths. We know psychiatric and psychology work is still ever evolving even from just a decade ago. Therapists will certainly be more rounded and effective in their practice by embracing these ancient teachings with an open mind.
*This session is complementary to students in the April 2023 Cohort of our Advanced PaT Certification Program. Please see your cohort events for session details and link.
